Stephenson Ardern-Sodje brings a radiant charm to the grown-up version of Simba when he returns to Pride Rock to reclaim his homeland from Scar – who’s misrule has brought catastrophe on the Pride. Their love soon begins to blossom which is beautifully shown through a stunning vocal performance of Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight, with emotional lyrics by Tim Rice. When Simba grows up into a young adult, he is reunited with his childhood friend Nala played by Nokwanda Khuzwayo. It is through Soni’s infectious laugh, exaggerated movements and simple humour that she is able to transcend the language barrier and be accessible to all. It’s not your normal narrative, as much of her appearances don’t include verbal communication and often when they do it is a mix of vocals or African language. The whole piece is narrated by Raifiki the mandrill, played by an exuberant Thandazile Soni, who provides a sense of atmosphere throughout. The chemistry he shows in Simba’s relationships, whether with his Father – played by the powerful yet endearing Jean-Luc Guizonne – or Richard Hurst’s deliciously evil Scar, is also very believable. Munyawiri – one of six youngsters alternating in the role – has a charm, grace and naivety about him. In his endeavour to become King, Scar cunningly befriends a pack of dim-witted hyenas and uses them to trick Simba into leaving his homeland.Ĭordell Munyawiri, playing the demanding role of Simba on press night, is on stage for the majority of the first act. On stage, the growing relationship between young lion cub Simba and his father Mufasa, the King of Pride Rock, plays out – only disturbed by his evil uncle Scar, who is jealous of his brother’s power and wants to take the throne for himself. Within seconds of curtain up the audience are immersed in the life of the Serengeti Plains as the sun rises, while giraffes, elephants and leaping gazelles travel through the stalls while soaring birds fly over the dress circle. The Lion King is brought to life by a large and talented cast directed by Julie Taymor.

While the stagecoach days are over, what is left is a settlement that has transitioned into the perfect getaway destination for food, fun, history, and a reprieve from daily life. However, it still offers a lot of history and should be a stop while visiting Canyon Lake. This community was never truly abandoned, so Tortilla Flat is not really a ghost town. Tortilla Flat is a recognized town with a population of six and an official United States Post Office, but in its heyday, the town boasted nearly 100 people. How Many People Live in Tortilla Flat, AZ? Due to its unique location, Tortilla Flat is a great respite spot for those experiencing Superstition Mountains. This stagecoach stop also became a destination for local settlers moving into the valley as it was a natural low spot and passthrough within the Superstition Mountains. Tortilla Flat was once a stagecoach stop on the historic Apache Trail where miners, settlers, and travelers would resupply and let their animals rest as they continued on their journey west. Tortilla Flat is a one-of-a-kind destination that is both living historical town and wild west destination. Be sure to keep an eye out for a future blog on things to do on the historic Apache Trail which is also known as SR 88. Centrally located between Florence, Coolidge and San Tan Valley, in the historic Valley Farms area. Modern pop history was made in Coolidge, too, at the amusingly named Gallopin’ Goose Saloon & Grill. The city’s early days are documented in the Coolidge Historical Society Museum, with historical artifacts and photographs from the 1920s to the 1950s. Cotton is king in Coolidge, which remains the hub of Arizona’s cotton industry. Then the people themselves vanished.Ĭoolidge owes its modern development to the expansion of the railroad and construction of a dam that turned sandy soil into rich farm and ranch land. The ancient Sonoran Desert people who built Casa Grande – one of North America’s largest prehistoric structures – occupied a massive compound for about 1,000 years before abandoning it more than 560 years ago for unknown reasons. The adobe “great house” in the fields outside Coolidge continues to dominate the landscape for miles around it. You’ll know when you’re getting close to Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. And if they want to do it well sure someone could choose to have more than one account with a good log in set up on the apps, there site and on facebook and other places the game could be offered like other gaming sites say like Armor games or Kongregate. A better log in would solve this problem. They need a better log in so I can get the same Zynga FarmVille account regardless of where and what device I log in at. Sure I could be my own friend 3 times over as a new player but do not expect me to spend money in all 3 accounts in the same game. So now since I started playing on Zynga I have 3 FarmVille 2 accounts as a new player, one on Zynga, one on facebook and now one on the tablet computer I also use. Now that I have down loaded the app I still can not log in and play the account I spent money in at the Zynga site ? The biggest issue is the log ins they do not exist for say a tablet and a pc when I started my account in FarmVille 2 on Zynga’s site was sent to facebook who I do not like to do business with and then ended up with 2 accounts one on Zynga and one on facebook. So this is a good family type of game I would give kids in the family gift cards to play. I hate the blood thirsty pvp that seem to be in all the war games stealing from and killing of other players. but the app stores are a good place to find game categories like family gaming and building games like this one. I like to play on game companies sites and not on facebook.
